Apply today to join the Waste Management family. As a technician, you'll be trained to provide superior maintenance on various material recovery equipment. You'll work independently on equipment that requires a high level of skill: hydraulics, electrical and diagnostics. You'll troubleshoot, repair and rebuild major components on vehicles and equipment. Some Basic Requirements:
Two plus years relevant mechanical experience in a manufacturing/plant environment OR a technical degree with 1+ years mechanical experience
Perform work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
Possess skills operating tools equipment, parts and procedures during repairs and services
Ability to estimates time and material costs on repairs
Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including but not limited to balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, front-end loaders and building equipment.
Maintains DEI (Daily Equipment Inspections) backlog.
Candidate will need to have experience working with general mechanical repair and planned maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot and repair electrical schematics, hydraulics and conveyor systems
Prior welding/fabrication experience, a plus
11:30pm, position requires a flexible work schedule and overtime availability, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility
