Summary/Objective: The Corporate Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the Corporate Plant Maintenance Team. This position involves directly supervising Plant Maintenance Mechanics, exercising independent judgment, and managing plant equipment maintenance.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct supervision of Plant Maintenance Mechanics, including planning, scheduling, directing work, and conducting performance evaluations.

  • Responsibilities encompass interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.

  • Oversight of the PM's program and the CMMS system.

  • Implementation of company safety policies and procedures for maintenance operations.

  • Training employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.

  • Providing leadership and guidance to Maintenance Department employees.

  • Regularly reporting status to maintenance management.

  • Keeping the Director of Maintenance informed of major mechanical issues and assisting in their resolution.

  • Supervising equipment inspections for compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

  • Fulfilling supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and laws.

  • Developing, implementing, and supervising maintenance systems, processes, and documentation.

  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.

  • Providing long-term solutions and daily support to operational teams for troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.

  • Collaborating with outside vendors for service and parts related to manufacturing equipment.

  • Participating in the selection and supervised on-the-job training of new maintenance department hires.

  • Planning and scheduling personnel, shift changes, maintaining vacation schedules, and weekly payroll reporting.

  • Assisting in planning and installing new or modified equipment in the plant.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Required adherence to Good Manufacturing Program (GMPs) as per Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110.

  • Participation in various Food Safety training reporting potential issues related to Food Safety.
