Under minimum supervision, Plant Maintenance Mechanics perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair work relating to TriMet facilities and equipment.

Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers' experiences and of TriMet's product and service offerings.
A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
Two (2) years of experience in building and machine maintenance trades are required.
Possession, at a minimum, of a State of Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician's License is required.
The possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Oregon Class "A" Commercial Driver License (CDL) or State of Washington equivalent, and a DOT medical card is required.
Applicant must pass a qualifying examination related to the selection criteria.
Type of Position /Grade/FLSA
Union, Non-Exempt, Regular, Full-Time. Wage $41.39 hourly. Wage will be in accordance with the current Working and Wage Agreement.

Hiring Bonus
a. For eligible employees hired into eligible non-trainee positions after the date that this MOA is fully executed:
i. $500.00 to be paid with the first paycheck after hire in an eligible position.
ii. $1,000.00 to be paid with the eligible employee's first paycheck following the 6 month anniversary of hire in an eligible position.
iii. $1,000.00 to be paid with the eligible employee's first paycheck following the 1 year anniversary of hire in an eligible position.
b. For eligible employees hired into eligible non-trainee positions who were employed with TriMet as of the date that this MOA is fully executed:
i. $500.00 to be paid with the first paycheck that occurs 20 or more days after this MOA is fully executed.
ii. $1,000.00 to be paid with the eligible employee's first paycheck following the 6 month anniversary of the date that this MOA was fully executed.
iii. $1,000.00 to be paid with the eligible employee's first paycheck following the 1 year anniversary of the date that this MOA was fully executed.
