We are looking for a plant mechanic to perform maintenance and repair of the crusher plant. The primary responsibility is the repair and maintenance of the plant equipment including crushers, screen decks, conveyors, drums, etc. while maximizing material production and minimizing plant interruptions and breakdowns. What You'll Do
Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others. Understand and comply with MSHA rules and regulations. Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment
Perform safety and mechanical inspections of the plant and equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance throughout the plant including screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustments, parts replacements, crusher linear changes and water pump service.
Address housekeeping issues within the workspace. May work at other facilities. Perform General Physical Activities
Perform a variety of tasks that assist with the operation of the plant, including cleaning, washing, sweeping and shoveling materials. Ability to use various electric and air-powered hand, welding and cutting tools. Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and climb enclosed stairs up to 40'. Education
High school diploma/GED Skills You'll Need
Previous experience in the aggregates production or millwright industry preferred. Strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills Flexibility
Be available to work overtime and extended hours and occasional Saturdays depending on demands. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. Mechanical Skills
