Plan, develop, and direct the various human resources and employee relations programs and initiatives within the Infinity - Plover manufacturing organization to insure corporate, regional, and local human resources strategies and priorities are met. As a strategic business partner to the Infinity manufacturing leadership team, HR Business Partner will provide consultation and human resources expertise on matters relating to:

We are seeking a full-time professional, authentic, committed, trusted and passionate Plant Human Resources Business Partner for our Infinity Plover, WI, appetizer processing plant, reporting directly to the Infinity Plant Manager. You will become a trusted advisor and business partner with the plant management team, as well as the North America HR team, by providing hands-on leadership, assistance, guidance and interpretation of HR policies, programs and new initiative implementation. You will develop and own the Engagement, Talent Management and People Strategies at this location, lead the execution and drive continuous improvement.


  • Developing and strengthening an authentic business partnership with client groups

  • Demonstrating an expert, proactive and positive leadership role in direct, open and honest employee and labor relations in support of plant business strategy and key performance indicators

  • Sharing learnings from processes with corporate HRBPs, Talent Management and Total Rewards. Partner as needed for solutions based on business needs.

  • Ensure consistent, timely and accurate application and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Administration, adherence and interpretation of HR policies, procedures, programs as well.

  • Advise and counsel leadership teams to recommend, develop and implement effective policies and procedures, which support achievement of company goals in a manner consistent with McCain's values and good human resources principles.

  • Demonstrating leadership and a collaborative labor relations approach maintaining non-union status.

  • Development and coordination of employee communication and engagement action plans.

  • Ensure adherence to organizational hourly and salary administration program, and provide support in the administration of company benefits and other compliance and legislative requirements.

  • Effective attendance and disability claims management. Commitment to health, safety and related initiatives

  • Recruitment and on-boarding initiatives focusing on optimizing plant staffing initiatives, improving processes and leading the implementation of McCain Leadership Core Competencies

  • Driving Talent, Succession and Performance management, including the implementation of Global and North America HR initiatives, as well as training and support to management in dealing with performance management, labour relations, learning and development.

  • Assisting in the development of our people through classroom training delivery and e-learning initiatives

  • Be a mentor and coach to local HR team members to ensure their growth and development, achievement of departmental and business objectives.

  • Ensure client group diversity programs including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance and Affirmative Action Plan development (AAP). Review and represent the company at EEO audit and NEOC complaint investigations and hearings.

  • Participate in NA Human Resources projects and initiatives including policy development and process improvement

  • Moderate travel as required

  • Other projects/duties as assigned or needed.


  • Directly supervise Infinity HR team (HR Administrator).

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field. Master's degree or HR Certification a plus.

  • Ability to identify and analyze organizational needs.

  • Excellent problem solving and coaching abilities.

  • Presentation and facilitation skills

  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws.

  • Knowledge of hourly and salaried pay practices, handbooks, and personnel practices.

  • Strategic thinking and thought leadership

  • Good business acumen

  • Facilitator and leader for change management

  • Lean Manufacturing Experience, Six Sigma training a plus

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources with at least one year of HR management experience, including employee relations, labor relations, training, organizational development, talent acquisition, safety and compensation/benefits. Plant level human resources experience required.

NATURE AND SCOPE Position reports directly to the Human Resources Business Partner, who, in turn, reports to the Plant Manager. The incumbent works closely with the Human Resources Business Partner in carrying out the goals of the department utilizing effective continuous improvement techniques. Position has dotted line oversight of plant Human Resource Administrators. The incumbent must possess a high level of Human Resource knowledge, organizational and communication skills, as well as computer proficiency to be able to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment and interact with individuals from varying work disciplines and variety of cultural backgrounds. The incumbent will lead EEOC Affirmative Action programs and be responsible for employee relations ongoing at the plant under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner, Plant Manager, and functional Managers within the Corporate Human Resources Department. The incumbent acts as the Human Resources Representative in the administration of Company policies and procedures, including benefits administration, employee relations, and communication programs. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Employment/Recruitment 1.) Directs scheduling function and ensures proper number of employees within each classification and department. 2.) Facilitates all aspects Hourly Employee hiring while meeting legal requirements and company objectives. 3.) Assists with all aspects of Salaried Employee hiring while meeting legal requirements and company objectives. 4.) Establishes effective sources for qualified candidates. 5.) Develops and presents new employee orientation. Benefits Oversees the administration of employee benefits and STD claims management. Unemployment Compensation 1.) Prepares cases for presentation at State Unemployment Compensation hearings. 2.) Assists Human Resource Business Partner in developing and maintaining an effective Unemployment Compensation Program. EEO/AAP Assists in documentation relative to efforts of the plant to provide a place of employment which recognizes the need for Affirmative Action for females, minorities, disabled individuals, and veterans, as well as employment free of all practices and forms of discrimination. 1.) Prepare annual Affirmative Action Plan for the plant that meets Federal laws and guidelines. 2.) Investigate and report incidents of alleged discrimination and/or harassment within the plant, making recommendations to the Human Resource Business Partner. 4.) Prepare documentation necessary for submission by the Company for requesting Government Agencies. Employee Relations * Maintain an effective employee climate through research of grievances and administration of the Employee Handbook. * Prepare proposals for annual wage, benefit and policy updates. * Assist in maintaining a nonunion environment by developing a communications network that enables employees to resolve issues. Communication Programs 1.) Develop and create effective communication programs including newsletter, orientation materials and bulletin board notices. 2.) Provide resource to management in effective department meetings. 3.) Represent the Company within the community by serving on local committees, participating in city fund raising programs, etc. QUALIFICATIONS Position requires a BA degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field with 5 years Human Resources experience in areas of recruitment, benefits, compensation, communications and employee relations. Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills to develop newsletter and interact with employees and management at all levels. Excellent organization, coordination and project management skills are necessary to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS (SAP) systems is important.
