Niacet Corporation is identified as part of the Critical Infrastructure required to support both public health and safety as part of the COVID-19 response. Niacet is the largest producer of bread preservatives in the world. Our core products focus around food safety. We also produce a Penicillin V precursor, as well as products used in manufacturing ibuprofen and other pharmaceuticals.

Plant Foreman Position:

We are looking for a Plant Foreman to support production planning, record keeping, technical assistance for engineers and operators. The Plant Foreman will oversee daily operations of the plant to ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:
  • Raw material orders, production records and inventory control
  • Scheduling and coordination of safety and housekeeping inspections
  • Maintaining accurate operating procedures and documents for unit inspections
  • Assistance with significant maintenance jobs and support of project engineering and new installations
  • Utilize technical skills to support control system upgrades, equipment and instrumentation improvements and technical reviews
  • Contribute to improvements and upgrades that enhance unit performance

--Position is a rotating shift assignment, supporting 24/7 continuous operation.

Requirements

Education: Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent. Additional scientific, mathematical or technical training is preferable, but not required.

Knowledge:
General computer software skills. Demonstrated leadership skills.

Experience: Manufacturing background, SAP and Microsoft Office products.

Skills and Abilities: Analytical, decisive, multi-tasked and goal oriented individual with the ability to manage time and resources.

VIEW JOBS 10/10/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-08T00:00 Position description Plant Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operations of all activities/machinery in the assigned department, which may include S5 mixing, Targa extrusion, Gen3/HiPal, or Crushing production areas. The priority is to ensure the service and quality of products on the production floor. Quality testing and/or sample collection, accurate data collection and reporting, and troubleshooting skills are required. Must follow standard operating procedures. * Must maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping, meet and exceed all safety standards and training requirements as outlined. * Works in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production and performance expectations are met. * Consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment is required. PPE requirements, including but not limited to safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, hearing protection, high visibility clothing, and dust masks. * Must follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Hours vary, typically between 36 - 48 hours per week. Plant Operators must have flexibility to work any shift as assigned, which may include either 12 hour and 8 hour shifts, and rotating days, afternoons, and evenings, as well as weekends. At times, overtime is required. Shifts and overtime are subject to change based upon business conditions. * Work in this position is performed primarily inside the plant, but may have seasonal temperature fluctuations resulting in work areas having warmer and cooler temperatures. * This position involves some physical activity: lifting and/or moving up to 55-pounds, climbing ladders, standing or walking, and working in a dusty environment. * Previous forklift truck certification preferred. * Previous experience in a light manufacturing work environment is preferred. * Good communication skills exhibiting ability to interact with production co-workers, plant staff and management personnel. * Basic computer skills are preferred including but not limited to proficiency in data entry, some Microsoft office applications and basic email capabilities. * Mechanical aptitude, ability to work safely and independently, at times unsupervised. * HS Diploma/Equivalent is required.
