Our FCM Division is looking for a Plant Engineering Manager for its Manufacturing site at Dexter, Missouri.

The Plant Engineering Manager is in charge of managing all ME (Manufacturing Engineering) resources within his/her organization. The main missions of the role are to:

Manage processes and people in order to:

  • Ensure that series production meets customer requirements

  • Support to the continuous improvement process

  • Ensure the plant readiness to launch successful new programs

  • Manage and report key ME indicators

Series production:

  • Procurement of manufacturing equipment under consideration of demanded security, quality and environmental protection and their preservation

  • Equipment and tooling follow-up

  • Support the engineering change management process

  • Update manufacturing routines and work instructions

  • Keep processes (machines, tools, procedures) at best possible level in compliance with HSE regulations and QCD

  • Build the engineering budget and the plant CAPEX; and ensure their application

  • Management of the plant central maintenance

  • Monitor capacity utilization

  • Keep plant lay-out updated

  • Plan, monitor and coordinate the work of external companies

  • Create and introduce procedures regarding the tasks of his field of responsibility

  • Support problem solving initiatives

  • Participate to the plant PDP

Continuous improvement process:

  • Support the continuous improvement process in following:

  • Labor,

  • Quality,

  • Equipment and tooling,

  • Space,

  • Work conditions

Plant readiness to launch new programs:

  • Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and equipments

  • Define plant layout to support new products launch in line with MIFA

  • Lead the installation process of new machines and equipments

  • Support production in the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run @ rate, work instructions)

People Management:

  • Staff, train coach, assess and develop the plant ME team (direct or dotted line)
  • Support and train other networks/functions (PSE, QSE)
  • Participation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization)

Reporting:

  • Manage ME key indicators (TRS: change over, cycle time, reliability)

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or applicable work experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Production are, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering

  • Program Management System experience

  • Basic financial skills (costing, budget, investment)

  • Leadership skills

  • Strong communication skills, ability to interface with other functions - Network capabilities

  • International mindset

  • Minimum bi-lingual (English required)

Our Interiors Division is looking for a Deputy Plant Manager for its Manufacturing Plant in Blue Springs, MO. The Deputy Plant Manager is responsible for FES and plant operational improvement and can have management delegation responsibility from the plant manager for specific area and/or functions within the plant (for ex UAPs, maintenance, PC&L, engineering, new program…). This position prepares the plant to provide a staffing support in another plant (new set up or in difficulties). In his perimeter he keeps plant manager accountability to deliver its budget committment measured through gross margin and inventory level, which means: * Secure foundations in his plant: safety employee/ adequate customer satisfaction: quality and deliveries on time/ empowered employees and work force. * Manage his P&L to drive the appropriate actions to adapt plant resources and costs to volume variation, and manage launch preparation cost for new programs The ideal candidate will have/be with a Minimum education level Master's degree * Proven experience in production management and lean manufacturing / FES production system/ Toyota production system * Proven experience in team management with leadership and coaching skills * Ability to build and manage a P&L budget.
