While reporting to the Plant Manager , you will be responsible for achieving the highest level of reliability for plant equipment through committed support for the Sonoco Performance System (SPS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and strong ownership of the Maintenance Excellence process within their plant.

  • Champion the Maintenance Excellence (ME) process. Serve as the Maintenance Excellence Leader for the Plant SPS (TPM) Steering Team.

  • Work closely with SPS (TPM) Steering Team to effectively deploy the 8 sub-pillars of the Maintenance Excellence pillar.

  • Support corporate SPS initiatives and partner with Divisional SPS Practitioners and Maintenance Excellence Leaders to effectively and efficiently progress through the SPS and ME continuums.

  • Provide leadership to ensure the highest standards of equipment performance are achieved and sustained. This involves establishing a sufficient numbers of highly-skilled, trained and qualified individuals; providing the tools, facilities, and environment needed for success; implementing sufficient controls; and providing appropriate oversight.

  • Works with Plant SPS (TPM) Steering Committee to achieve zero-losses by creating an environment where personnel are fully engaged, teamwork and cooperation is routinely practiced, and maintenance personnel embrace high standards for housekeeping, craftsmanship and equipment reliability.

  • Promote a culture in which production and maintenance work together to identify and resolve abnormal or degraded equipment conditions that could negatively impact safety, quality or productivity.

  • Support the "Zero-Loss" initiative; improve overall equipment effectiveness by targeting the major losses, involve operators in the maintenance of their equipment, improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness, training to improve skills and knowledge and participating in early equipment management and maintenance prevention design.

This position is located at our DePere, Wisconsin Paper Mill

  • Must have high school diploma, Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred

  • 5+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in a paper mill is required

  • Experience in TPM or Reliability field preferred.

  • Experience with CMMS preferred.

We are currently searching for a Plant Manager to be based out of De Pere, Wisconsin. De Pere is located 10 miles outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Plant Manager will oversee plant manufacturing, planning, materials, manufacturing engineering, quality, and finance functions. The Plant Manager's key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to utilizing the Atkore Business System to drive results through strategy deployment, talent management (people), and process excellence. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of manufacturing experience, a Bachelor's in business, engineering or related field or equivalent experience. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is required. Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develop a culture of safety accountability * Continue the journey to bring Atkore's safety culture to the front of the operational culture * Identify and execute opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the business; People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost * Drive improvement plans and ensure the Strategic Deployment Process alignment is appropriate. * Build a high performing team * Continue to build and structure the appropriate team to support a growing and expanding business * Provide regular coaching and performance feedback to improve the effectiveness of the team * Ensure coordination between the commercial, planning, scheduling, and plant operations teams to achieve targets * Mentor and coach talent across the organization. * Transform the structure of lean daily management * Participate in kaizen teams and assume the kaizen team leader position as necessary * Lead the implementation and sustainability of overall lean transformation including but not limited to; 5S, visual factory, poke yoke, PDCA, Jidoka, etc. * Drive business results inline with the improvement of the facility * Collaborate with counterparts, especially the local controller, to develop local strategy to achieve business objectives and financial targets. * Own the monthly forecasting process and drive excellence within sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) * Facilitate a world class program to acquire, develop, and retain the workforce of the future * Partner with the local and central Human Resources Business Partners to align staffing needs, job * Ensure team members are trained (on safety, quality, delivery and cost) Qualifications include: * Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field required or equivalent experience. * Ten+ years of manufacturing experience, including management experience. Steel tube mill experience strongly preferred. * Previous experience as the most senior leader at a site is preferred * Solid verbal and written communication skills are a must. * Ability to make independent and sound decisions. * Must possess sound interpersonal skills. * Experience as a change agent in an organization. * In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles; experience in a business with Hoshin Kanri policy deployment is preferred * Ability to implement changes that support the company vision. * Experience implementing manufacturing strategy. * All associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability.
