Position Description
Job Summary
This position is designed to accomplish goals of the organization: improving the manufacturing performance and reducing the risk, by implementing WCM techniques and executing projects by the judicious application of knowledge and experience in project management, continuous improvement best practices, risk reduction, selection, purchase, installation, operation & maintenance, modifications & modernization of equipment & systems, to improve the working environment, protect physical facilities, and increase productivity. New capital equipment requirements are analyzed, installed, and their proper use is documented and instructed. Manufacturing methods and processes are established and reviewed to minimize total cost and improve quality and productivity. The position requires technical skills and knowledge of the process as well as strong capabilities in areas of planning, scheduling, organizing, follow up and cost control.
Required Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering, PE is a plus.
5 - 10 years engineering experience, manufacturing setting preferred.
Ability to project design and management for process and machines.
Proven ability in problem analysis and resolution.
Must have good "interpersonal skills" to work effectively with personnel throughout all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis in Microsoft Office Programs
Six Sigma experience and working knowledge is a plus.

Additional Description
Manage Capital and non-capital projects to improve product quality, service reliability, reduce costs or increase capacity.
Responsible for the care of the buildings and site properties.
In collaboration with the Plant Manager define the yearly Capital Plan and Long-Range Strategic plan for the site.
Update and maintain current plant drawings and documentation of projects and equipment in the different libraries.
Plan and lead annual outages through team coordination meetings and scheduling.
Participate in Safety Risk Elimination and TF Resolution Teams to define and lead projects that will reduce the hazards in the plant.
Lead the Sustainability action plan from the Plant Sustainability Road map defined in collaboration with the Plant Manager to achieve the Saint Gobain Sustainability goals.
Monitor continuously the energy, water, and gas consumption in relation to the waste and water discharge in order to define and execute project to reduce those.
Owns the IT site infrastructure and drives the digital transformation and Industry 4.0 Journey in the plant.
Responsible for the Risk Prevention plan of the site, including updating and maintaining Business Continuity and Emergency Plans and the XL Gaps audits.
WCM Champion for the site, coordinating and supporting the leaders in their continuous improvements initiatives to improve performance.
Owner of the 5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Visual Management and Standardization programs.
