The Plant Engineer position is an extremely important role in MAPEI's manufacturing corporate. In this role you will work with Corporate Engineering to design and install new assets and/or modify existing assets to optimize production processes that meet current and future business needs. You will be responsible for maintenance and asset care to maximize capacity and produce the highest quality product.

  • Support daily plant operations through the effective management of maintenance resources adhering to all policies, procedures and instructions

  • Effectively monitor and analyze maintenance KPI's. Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve the reliability and performance of equipment.

  • Communicates to management significant events and critical issues as appropriate.

  • Ensure that daily and weekly maintenance plans are developed and communicated to all maintenance personnel and operations management.

  • Ensure all planned work is completed on schedule in the most efficient manner.

  • Directly or indirectly supervise management and maintenance personnel responsible for equipment and building maintenance.

  • Ensure Machinery Preventative Maintenance and Repair is scheduled; ensure that all machine repairs and/or scheduled maintenance are completed/verified via MAEPI Group Global Standards.

  • Establish standards and policies for pollution control, installation, modification, testing, inspection and maintenance of equipment.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, company policies, procedures and work instructions.

  • Actively contribute as a member of the Safety Committee monthly and practice / communicate "safety first" with all direct and indirect reports.

  • Manage and control the inventory of maintenance parts and equipment per corporate procedures and work instructions.

  • Supervise contractors (design, engineering, labor, construction, etc.) ensuring compliance with bid specifications and compliance with all EHS policies while on site.

  • Actively enforce all safety policies and procedures with direct and non-direct reports and contractors.

  • Test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Require a Bachelors (B.S.) degree from a four-year College or University in Engineering plus 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledgeable in extensive process manufacturing equipment and phases of manufacturing.

  • You should be proficient and comfortable with computers and demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

  • You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
