Executions and /or coordination of (specialized) process technology tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Availability:

• Identifies continuous improvement projects to increase productivity, minimize fixed and variable cost, increase equipment availability, improve plant safety.
• Provides day-to-day engineering and technical guidance to support operations
• Utilizes and oversees site/regional resources to meet unit goals
• Uses engineering knowledge and experience to ensure high technical availability of process equipment
• Manages unit total technical (including maintenance) budget. Assists in developing the unit's annual operating budget.

Capital Projects:

• Responsible for developing and executing department's capital plan.
• Develops scopes and estimates for capital projects and large maintenance expenses.
• Support projects from conceptual design, through basic engineering and construction phases.
• Ensure projects are implemented safely and meet technical specifications.
• Serves as the point of contact for all capital projects in the H2O2 plant.
• Executes capital projects as project manager or project responsible.
• Provides technical input on site investments as requested.

Plant Support:

• Directly supervise maintenance coordinator role
• Provides technical support to troubleshoot and resolve production and equipment issues
• Manages maintenance contracts for process equipment
• Interfaces with maintenance personnel, engineering resources and other technical support functions
• Maintains technical documentation (P&ID's, PFD's, equipment information, technical specifications)
• Provides turnaround (TAR) planning and support.

EHSSQ:

• Participate and lead Process Safety reviews, PSSR's, PHA's, HAZID's.
• Ensures MOC's are written for process changes.
• Oversees the MOC process for process changes.
• Supports internal/external compliance audits.
• Ensures PHA and HAZID action items are closed in a timely manner.
• Manages process safety information (PSI) for the H2O2 plant.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• 5 years of experience in a technical role involving chemical processing equipment.
• Experience with developing conceptual designs and executing small capital projects (
• Ability to indirectly supervise personnel and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Project Management experience.
• Prior experience managing and developing budgets.
• Basic understanding of project economics.
• Equipment troubleshooting and maintenance expertise.
• Familiar with maintenance processes and workflows.
• Experience with chemical process equipment and large rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, distillation, extraction).
• Experience designing and rating process equipment for expansion/investment.
• Production/operations experience.
• Familiarity with TPM/5S/Self-directed work teams.
• Leading root cause analysis (RCA).
• MOC's/OSHA PSM Standard.
• SAP experience.
• Experience specifying and designing process equipment and instrumentation.
• Experience with PIMS and LIMS and analyzing data.
• Knowledge of equipment and piping inspection and design codes and RAGAGEP's.
