Description
Position
Objective:
Responsible for all financial, accounting, administrative and information systems functions performed at the Plant.
Ensure proper presentation of financial results for the Plant.
Ensure best-practice financial controls are in place & being followed at the Plant.
Ensure financial reporting, annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting for the Plant are prepared accurately and presented on time.

Ensure department expenses are maintained with budget.
Planning
Complete annual operating budget, RM and FG cost standards, capital budget and strategic plan by established deadlines with detail sufficient to assist in analysis.
Complete monthly and quarterly forecasting requirements by established deadlines.
Analyze production hours and headcount requirements for budgeted production.
Accounting
Execute monthly Plant accounting for close process; journal entries, physical inventory, allocations, accounts payable, payroll.
Complete month-end package, quarterly forecasts and plant variance and efficiency reports within established deadlines.
Prepare and track all Plant capital project information, including Post Implementation Reviews.
Execute audits (internal & external) and all certifications.
Hourly & Salary payroll review.
Complete all UK ABC & GHG reporting in addition to governmental reporting.
Complete monthly reporting as directed for Plant Leadership.
Additional regional, corporate and global reporting, as required.
Analysis / Continuous Improvement
Participate proactively with Plant Management in pursuing cost reduction opportunities and plant efficiency improvements. Provide monthly reporting in Cost Reduction Tracker.
Provide leadership and direction to continually improve plant personnel, processes, and equipment in all department functions.
Develop with collaboration of the plant staff improvement opportunities and track/report performance through documented action trackers. This would include annual cost savings initiatives.
Lead the tracking of improvement opportunities and actions requested of the plant, PIT Crew, and from outside resources.
Collaborates with other similar manufacturing facilities to strive for best in class execution across the region and share best practices on a routine basis.
Ensure all material variances are analyzed, documented and discrepancies documented with recommendations, as appropriate.
Participate with Plant management on development of rolling IBP forecasts providing analysis and insight on changing cost / business parameters.
Establish cost standards for all new products and analyze proposed changes in existing products Assist with information system issues that occur and perform duties as directed by the corporate IT department.

Ensure the following:
Maintain financial and accounting controls in accordance with group policy and accounting standards.
Code / approve accounts payable invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Process receipts against PO's accurately and in accordance with ABMNA signature authority.
Preparation of Capex's for the plant in accordance with policies.
Process inventory production batches for FG production.
Coordinate with Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and ensure inventory balances are accurate and the quantities maintained are not excessive.
Manage inventory physical counts and capital asset observations in the plant within Company guidelines.
Prepare all necessary entries into the General Ledger.
Prepare all standard costs for site produced items including bills of materials and routings. All costs, bills and routing are entered into the ERP system.

Ensure manual JE's are approved and booked in accordance with policies
Manage judgmental plant reserves and accrued liability balances.
Manage all plant G/L accounts and account reconciliations.
Statutory Compliance
Ensure financial records and accounts are maintained in accordance with standards established by appropriate regulatory agencies and corporate policies.
Comply with all standards and requirements for SQF, food safety regulations and corporation requirements.
Human Resource Management
Comply with Corporate HR policies and procedures.
Comply with relevant employment laws.
Administrative
Manage plant office responsibilities such as office equipment leases, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the plant manager.
Qualifications
A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Three (3) to five (5) years minimum experience in manufacturing accounting including standard cost accounting experience. Plant food manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, analytical, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent PC skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
