SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Plant Accounting Assistant in the Irvine, CA area to support daily administration, sales and accounting tasks to ensure smooth operation. A main duty within this role will involve resolving any problems and/or duties that arise each day in a timely manner.
Ensure accounting entries for accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledgers are completed by specific dates.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
Bank reconciliation for internal and external bank statements daily and monthly.
Arrange verification process for new wires and arrange payments.
Responsible for maintaining petty cash balances for multiple offices.
Prepare, create and report calculation sheets and invoice summaries.
Complete Due From/ To Parent expense summaries on a monthly basis.
File and organize reports and files for simple data retrieval.
Record expenses to make proper payment arrangements.
Uphold and record master files of an accounting and invoice system.
Follow up accounts payable and accounts receivable for outstanding accounts.
Handle postage balances, distribute mail, and other mail duties as needed.
Organize company events.
Ensure each payment and receipt of funds is received by the due date.
Upon request, prepare and send samples to customers.
College Degree in Accounting or related field required.
Past experience in Accounting and Trading.
At least one year of applicable work experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
General knowledge of business writing skills.
Ability to make analytical decisions.
Capability to communicate in English and Japanese preferred.
Self-discipline and strong time management skills.
Experience shipping documents within a set of requirements.
Knowledge of commodities trading preferred.
