The Plant Accountant is responsible for the KPI's for the Company.
The Plant Accountant is a member of the Finance Operations team and collaborates with the other functional teams (Sales Operations, Engineering, Materials & HR) on executing company strategies and the work unit planned processes. The Plant Accountant is also expected to work cooperatively with customers both outside and inside the organization as well as suppliers. They are expected to support, develop and to implement processes and metrics in all areas of finance operations including but not limited to: lean, 6S, workplace safety, on-boarding and training. In addition, this person must demonstrate hands-on leadership in unison with the Director of Finance Operations on implementing strong cultural beliefs and values throughout the organization.

Prepare monthly financial close (journal entries, account reviews, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, etc.), financial statements and supporting schedules
Daily, monthly and annual management reporting such as KPI metrics as determined
Develop Labor tracking and reporting for the company
Responsible for expense tracking and trends for the company
Development of ad hoc reporting as required by management and/or corporate
Collections of Accounts Receivable
Filing of Franchise Taxes with multiple states
Assist with preparation of annual operating and capital budget with management input
Effective business partner across functional areas to drive business results
Maintain integrity of accounting systems including the administration and maintenance of all accounting systems and processes
Maintains confidentiality pertaining to all aspects of team member and company matters
Ability to problem solve and make sound recommendations pertaining to organization effectiveness
Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions
POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
Experience with ERP systems
MS Office suite
Technical capacity with analytical thinking skills and detail oriented
Communication proficiency both verbally and written
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
EXPERIENCE: 5 years' experience in accounting Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience preferred
ERP systems experience or a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs
Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite-especially Excel (Advanced spreadsheets, pivot tables, macros, etc.)
Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills
