Position Overview

Position Objective:

Serve the Tufting Department by making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to tufting machines for the purpose of maintaining their efficient and accurate operation.

Essential Duties:

• Successful completion of START Technician-Reliability Lead training program or have verifiable experience.

• Ensures that all plant-required PPE is being used and is kept in good repair at all times

• Coordinates safety training for maintenance personnel as needed

• Ensures that proper safety practices are being followed by working with the supervisor and manager to drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality and productivity.

• Learn and use tufting computer system to that is related to the job

• Learn and use Sharp/TPM system to set up and receive work instructions

• Directs the work order system as follows:

• Maintain work order database (MP2) on Reliability Lead computer.

• Performed the schedule and organize work orders with the direction of

the Maintenance Supervisor and reliability lead.

• Communicate with Department Managers, process Engineer and

Supervisors to clarify work orders.

• Specify for the requisition materials needed to complete approved work orders using the PeopleSoft System.

• Assign work orders to specific maintenance associates.

• Follow-up on assigned work orders to ensure that they are completed in an efficient and timely manner

• Inspects work for completeness.

• Demonstrates and assists with continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease Turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

• Adhere to normal work schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays as required.

• Attend meetings as required.

• Perform all job duties in a safe manner without bodily injury to self or others o Perform all related job duties and other responsibilities assigned by supervisor, process Engineer or department manager.

• Lead the scheduled LCL cleaning duties of the LCL machines.

• Other task as required by management.

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
