Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior staff to establish media objectives and strategies for advertising campaigns.

  • Provide full media planning services for client.

  • Train and assist in the development of Strategists and Assistant Strategists; may have some direct reports.

  • Establish effective client relationships, managing day to day questions and developing appropriate courses of action.

  • Explore media alternatives and develop media solutions and POVs, demonstrating strategic thinking, creativity, and solid decision-making.

  • Oversee media plan and budget maintenance, ensuring a strong level of accuracy.

  • Compile and interpret media research for use in media plan development.

  • Present media plans and recommendations internally and to clients.

  • Revise media plans as needed throughout course of year; oversee budget changes and flowcharts depicting current media activity.

  • Evaluate sponsorship opportunities on an ongoing basis; meet with media

  • representatives on an ongoing basis.

  • Maintain knowledge of current media industry issues.

  • Help in the development of competitive analysis in order to gain knowledge of the competitive marketplace.

  • Maintain responsive working relationships with internal media buyers, creative teams, and other media contacts.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Media or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of media planning experience; integrated experience strongly desired.

  • Proven analytical, strategic thinking and, communication skills.

  • Proven media planning, project management and presentation skills.

  • Clear understanding of the media process.

  • Knowledgeable of the digital landscape

  • Experience planning Upfront TV campaigns required.

  • Media, syndicated research and proprietary analytics tools proficiency preferred i.e., MRI, Nielsen Adviews, eTelmar.

  • Ability to identify issues and solutions as well as anticipate consequences.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Displays perseverance and action orientation.

The role will be part of the Global Clients & Category business. The Program Manager will work cross-functionally with several teams at Facebook, with the objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. The primary focus of this position will be to partner closely with sales leadership to identify trends in revenue performance (including drivers like segmentation, solutions adopting and resourcing), improve efficiency in recurring processes (e.g., sales playbook, goal-setting, reporting), and undertake analyses to proactively identify short and long-term growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, view the world through an analytical lens, be interested in advertising, be intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects. This is a full-time position and is located in our New York Office. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop strong collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and partners within the Global Clients and Category team and across the company, including contributing to/driving cross-functional task forces on major initiatives Conduct impactful analyses on major revenue and product trends, including segment performance, product adoption, leading revenue indicators, team productivity and sales effectiveness, as well as external market and competitor analysis Drive ongoing business rhythm (e.g., monthly revenue forecasts, quarterly goaling) as well as longer-term planning processes (e.g., annual planning) Support sales leadership on short-term and long-term projects including launch of new sales initiatives, segmentation and service models MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field) 8+ years of work experience in Sales Finance, Sales Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting, or 6+ years experience with MBA/Master's degree Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets Demonstrated experience to present technical content to audiences Stakeholder management experience – including managing multiple partners simultaneously Excel experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field Experience with SQL Facebook is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures.
