Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-pacedand friendlyfinancial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial.

Responsibilities of this position allows the financial advisor to focus more time and energy on client acquisition and deepening client relationships. The planning assistant supports the many different tasks for which the practice is responsible and ties directly to the overall business plan of the practice. This role provides client relationship and general practice management support through gathering client data, helping prepare other client deliverables and other client touch points.

Responsibilities and time allocation will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and will include other duties as assigned by the advisor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare information as needed for client meeting. This will include charts, graphs, tables and other visual aides to be used in implementation meetings with clients.

  • Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients as it relates to servicing their accounts

  • Support advisor in managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare preliminary financial plans (May want to save for interview and job offer)

  • Assist in daily business operations that support the role of financial advisor using Ameriprise Financial technology systems

  • Set up and maintain client management system

  • Provide insight and recommendations to effectively use key Marketing Tools that help lead to results in practice. Coordinate marketing events for the practice

  • Maintain files and records in accordance with records policy

  • Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisors in the practice

Required Qualifications

  • Direct attention to detail and organization

  • Strong organization and computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft tools. Quick Books is preferable, but at least having a willingness to learn

  • Effective communication with clients and team

  • Effective and efficient time management

  • Ability to adherer to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial

  • Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the advisors' practice

  • Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow education and other designations.

Education and Other Designations

  • College degree

  • 2+ years of similar experience

  • Willingness to become licensed with Series 7, Series 66 and Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses

Key areas of responsibility include project management and commercialization of new product launches, development and execution of activation tactics, consumption reporting, financial analysis, and budget management. Essential Functions: * Manage cross-functional teams via execution of strong project management for new product launches. Execute innovation pipeline projects and ensure key project milestones are successfully met on time. * Support Brand Manager in development of business cases as needed for new brand platforms that will include development of strategic rationale, product positioning, size of prize, and project financials. * Support and lead the development and delivery of a range of innovation projects, with the Brand Manager and cross-functional teams. Manage a cross-functional team to deliver said projects effectively and efficiently from ideation to commercialization. * Leads and/or supports the development and execution of tactical plans, including promotional plans, sampling, trade show and advertising support, customer marketing roll-out and support, etc. * Monitor sales, margin, and volume across key products and categories. Develop and implement action plans to address any unexpected weak areas. * Execute portfolio maintenance activities including product renovation tasks (i.e. label refresh, reformulations, etc.). * Partner with creative agency and in-house creative team to execute key activation initiatives including digital, social media, print and other promotional tactics. * Partner with the sales and marketing teams to devise customer plans for key accounts. * Closely monitors and reports on category trends and competitive marketing activity (i.e. social media tactics, advertising creative/copy) with the ability to assess key marketing opportunities and threats. Consumer or cateogory trends could include: needs, occasions and/or flavors. * Candidate should already have an existing passion for the sports nutrition/fitness/wellness category. * Performs day-to-day business management activities, and executes other projects or activities as requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong leadership skills in managing/influencing teams and implementing key business initiatives. * Results oriented with high level of initiative and assertiveness. * Strong cross-functional project management skills. * Ability to comprehensively understand and convert consumer, category, competitor, and channel/customer insights into actionable plans. * Self-starting problem solver the effectively used fact-base rationale. * Organized and responsive. * Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel. * Ability to analyze data to support recommendations. * Strong analytical skills. Education/Experience: * BA/BS required, MBA preferred. * Minimum 2-3+ years of previous consumer marketing and/or innovation experience, preferrably in the CPG industry. * Working knowledge with shipments/consumption reports.
