Planning And Zoning Official

The Town of East Hampton is accepting applications for a highly motivated and collaborative Planning and Zoning Official to lead a dedicated team of professionals who strive to provide a positive impact on the planning and development of our community. The ideal candidate should have a passion for urban development, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate proficiency in zoning regulations and land use planning. The Planning and Zoning Official is responsible for the supervisory aspects of administering and enforcing the zoning and wetlands regulations and other relevant town ordinances, including oversight of a Land Use Enforcement Officer and the provision of staff support to all land use commissions and other boards and commissions, as necessary and work with the public related to land use activities and development in the community.

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree or related experience in planning or a closely related field, with supervisory and budgeting experience. Salary range: $86,143.79 - $101,345.63 per year, plus benefit package which includes health, dental, vision, 401a defined contribution plan, life insurance and various voluntary benefits, as well as PTO and paid holidays. This is a bargaining unit position.
