Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings, an S&P 500 company, is currently seeking a Planning, Analysis and Reporting Analyst, who is an individual contributor responsible for the delivery of centralized Corporate FP&A services, including management reporting, planning, analytics, controls and compliance activities and who will accomplish the following:

  • Provides subject matter expertise, working on behalf of both Corporate and Divisional FP&A leadership to identify data requirements and appropriately leverage data

  • Develops new analytical capabilities

  • Provides business insight supporting advanced decision making

  • Provides division support to internal and external customers, including the Planning, Analysis and Reporting Lead, Corporate FP&A leads and Division Controllers

  • Executes centralized Corporate FP&A activities

  • Supports Division FP&A initiatives

  • Responsible for identifying and driving process improvement opportunities


License/Certification/Education: Normally a B.S. in Accounting or related field and 2-4 years of experience.

Lead in complex financial modeling and implement process improvement initiatives. Essential Functions: * Perform multiple financial and scenario analysis. * Develop pricing proposals in response to customer inquiries. * Conduct detailed analysis to support strategic pricing initiatives * Create and adjust pricing tiers by product & Class of Trade based on businessdrivers, and internally driven strategic and customer requirements. * Develop and maintain a SaaS pricing model and continuously develop and refine the model based on new product offerings and evolving business conditions. * Support forecasting in analysis of impact on balance sheet and P&L statements. * Participate in meetings/conference calls to clarify specifications and pricing issues. Take action on all action items from meetings/calls to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. * Partners with other departments to correctly position product portfolio to achieve revenue and margin requirements. * Maintain customer pricing proposal databases and models. * Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support valuation, planning and forecasting. * Support the short and long-term forecasting capabilities as well as the forecasting process as needed. * Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, including detailed analytics and financial recommendations related to the assumption and goal setting process. * Develop product budgeting reports. Maintain development hours utilizing the cost tracking system. Track initiatives and projects to established targets (approved hours, plan, resource utilization, minimum viable product, etc.) * Produce and/or enhance internal management reporting and analyses both on a regularly scheduled and ad-hoc basis. * Perform periodic operational and financial reporting and analysis. * Perform analysis to support the monthly and quarterly metrics reporting process and distribution to key stakeholders. * Logically structure complex issues and communication conclusions and alternatives to a range of senior executives including the CFO. * Research large amounts of data that requires consolidation to allow for concise analysis. * Anticipate financial planning needs by providing monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting and analysis as needed. * Utilize current documentation and tools/methodologies and recommend new solutions to improve/automate existing and new processes and support new initiatives. * Ability to develop financial models from the ground up, support P&L- level models, scenario analyses, and ability to perform complex ad-hoc analyses to assist executive management in making financing, product, pricing, budgeting an investment decisions; * Evaluate new program initiatives, processes, and provide recommendations to executive management based on financial impact. * Develop dashboard KPI/metrics that provide management daily visibility into the performance and health of the business. * Coordinate across departments/functions internally to communicate and produce deliverables on a timely basis; * Provide business case/ROI analysis to support all investment/financial decisions * Required critical thinking in a structured fashion and ability to translate business discussions into an analytical decision-making framework. * Develop strong business relations, and be a trusted advisor to leadership team. * Establish credibility and build partnerships to better hold partners accountable by employing quantitative and qualitative approaches to decision framework. Requirements and Qualifications: * A BA/BS degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or another related major; CPA/MBA preferred. * A minimum of 0-3 years of progressively responsible experience in business, FP&A, Pricing, modeling experience * Demonstrated proficiency in a quantitatively- heavy positions. Highly analytical. * Experience in technology and/or SaaS is required. * Thorough understanding of financial planning principles, pricing methods and SaaS based metrics. * Advanced Excel skills including logic functions. * Understanding of financial statements. * Data driven and detail oriented. * Strong quantitative and analytical competency. * Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication as well as written skills. * Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. * Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management. * Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities. * Proven organizational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to achieve results without close supervision. * Understands the importance of deadlines and has a track record of delivering (i.e. seeing things through and getting things done in line with expectations). * Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and also has the strong desire to dig into details is a must. * Flexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular business hours.
