The Planner/Integrated Marketing Strategist leads the development, implementation, and reporting of marketing strategies for clients. They are engaged in the lifecycle of marketing activities, including research, consumer insights, audience personas and customer journey mapping, content strategy, paid/owned/earned activations, establishing benchmarks/measurement plans, and campaign performance and analysis. They will lead integrated strategy for traditional and digital channels and manage implementation of integrated content and experiences that drive increased awareness, consideration, conversion, site/store traffic, leads, and retention.
They are an excellent communicator and a great listener with a natural inclination to learn and stay ahead in the evolving digital space. The Planner/Integrated Marketing Strategist will work closely with internal and client teams to ensure creative outputs are on strategy and work is achieving business results.
Gather requirements from multiple stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategy, briefs, and plans
Plan and conduct or coordinate primary and secondary research to uncover consumer, category, and competitive insights
Analyze a wide range of information and recommend actionable solutions that drive business results
Develop strategic briefs that:
o Define the business situation
o Articulate the purpose and value proposition of the brand/product/service
o Demonstrate deep understanding of consumer values, beliefs and functional needs
o Establish clear and measurable objectives, KPIs
Identify, scope, develop, and oversee implementation of integrated marketing strategies that will deliver demonstrable business results
Liaise with business insights team to ensure reporting platforms reflect current client needs
Help to educate broader agency about integrated strategy and role in marketing campaigns

5 8+ years industry related experience
Or, equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Experience with developing paid, owned, and earned marketing strategies and analytics, including heavy emphasis in digital (SEO/SEM, GA, marketing databases, CRM, social and display campaigns)
Demonstrated success with managing client relationships and business development
Advertising agency experience
Experience with Google Analytics, A/B testing
Business development experience
