  • The Planner/Estimator position reports to the Supervisory Planner. Duties include taking all ship's force, Alteration Installation Team (AIT), and shipyard work, including service and repair routines, modernization and preventative maintenance actions, and presenting as work requirement statements at the SWLIN and Line Item level. This is currently recognized as a prime function of the Planning Activity organization, and ultimately results in the development and issue of availability specific, integrated specification work package. This position also requires the ability to provide detailed cost estimates, to the paragraph and trade level, for developed work specifications and new work written by planners. Additional duties include maintaining and managing the cost estimating guide.

  • H.S. diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience conducting assessments aboard U.S. Navy ships


  • This position requires US citizenship and will be subject to a security investigation, must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain, and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.


  • CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Employee may access remote areas of multi-level vessels

  • Must comply with Company's Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles
