Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Provide creative solutions to exceed customer expectations. Assign loads based on customer requirements, driver availability and maximum profitability for assigned region.

  • Review markets, check over/under capacity and check freight needs with Customer Accounts daily.

  • Determine balance, capacity, and demand of loads and trucks and assign loads to trucks.

  • Identify and provide trailer solutions for drivers with minimum deadhead.

  • Ensure deadhead trips are kept to a minimum by proactively working with other LOB's and/or Customer Accounts.

  • Continually increase understanding of assigned market and customers and share findings with sales and/or customer account employees.

  • Provide drivers with complete load details.

  • Actively review reports, identify waste opportunities and collaborate with sales and/or customer accounts to develop optimal solutions.

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

  • Skills:Must be able to work in high pressure and dynamic environment. Must possess exceptional problem solving skills. Must be able to persuade and influence others.

  • Education: Associates degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

  • Experience Required: 2+ years' in Operations and/or Planning and/or Customer Accounts required.

(NYSE ticker GGG) Essential Duties * Producing/Processing shop floor orders through an ERP system along with schematics and bills of material, driving production by prioritizing and planning to meet ship dates. * Develop and maintain deep knowledge of product construction and assembly * Provide daily direction to the Assembly floor team * Lead weekly production meetings updating customer order status and/or production issues * Monitor/track production process metrics and acts to ensure they meet established standards. * Keep management proactively informed of manufacturing challenges and issues * Utilize MRP system to create the buying plan, regulate safety stocks, recommend expedites in order to meet demand while maintaining optimum inventory levels. * Follow up with purchasing as necessary, to resolve delivery problems or quality issues. * Work with purchasing to maintain inventory levels, pull in critical items, and prevent shortages. * Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through controls and monthly cycle counts. * Manage surplus and obsolete inventory. * Maintain a high standard of product quality in accordance with ISO and the company Quality Manual. * Other duties as assigned Position Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. * Minimum 2 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills. * Strong computer literacy in MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ERP systems Physical Requirements * Occasional standing * Occasional crouching, kneeling, and reaching above shoulder * Occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs. or greater Proven Quality.
