The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for managing the end to end supply chain, ensuring customer requirements and supply chain metrics are attained.

As a Planner

  • Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Leading supply and demand synchronization operational activities with assigned product lines and value streams

  • Analyzing material flow parameters such as safety stock, order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, and replenishment interval to support decision making.

  • Leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory.

  • Collaborating with business partners to understand customer requirements and forecasts and partnering with manufacturing to set and maintain sufficient inventory levels and lead times.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Three (3) years of combined experience working with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Customer Service in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering

  • One (1) year experience in Supply Chain within a manufacturing plant

  • Previous planning experience in the areas of Supply, Production, Subcontracting and/or Demand

  • APICS certification or demonstrated progress toward completion

  • Experience leading Six Sigma Green Belt and/or other projects

  • Experience with SAP ERP Software

Location: Maplewood, MN or Remote Locations

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
