The In-Store Planner supports the development and execution of DICK'S Sporting Goods, GGXY and F&S in-store marketing presence, focusing on driving sales and customer experience. The In-Store Planner will manage category strategy, coordinate with merchants and visual partners and act as lead point of contact with vendors on upcoming strategy and in-store executions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

In-Store Planning & Strategy

  • Plan strategy for 300 signage projects annually, representing $8MM in marketing spend.

  • Partner with merchandising to understand strategic vendors and their merchandising strategies.

  • Serve as in-store communication liaison between merchants, visual, creative, production and vendors.

  • Work closely with Print Production and in-house print vendor to ensure projects are on time, on budget and meet overall execution goals.

  • Ensure marketing/chain/eCommerce/loyalty messages are included when necessary within appropriate signage elements.

  • Compile information and complete briefs for cross functional alignment meetings.

  • Participate in cross-category/campaign creative kickoffs and milestone meetings.

Signage Financial Management

  • Manages their categories' portion of $8MM signage budget

  • Works with cross functional partners and print vendor to optimize signage execution while staying within fiscal guidelines.

  • Acts as the signage financial spokesperson when aligning with merchants, visual merchandising, store ops and vendors.

  • Responsible for procuring signage via approved purchase orders and receipts upon delivery.

  • Manages category inventory levels and reprint needs monthly.

People Management

  • Responsible for 1-2 direct reports.

  • Responsible for hiring, on boarding, training and developing employees within category teams

Ad hoc marketing planning projects

  • Coordinate with outbound marketing planning to ensure a consistent customer message through shopping experience. Ensure signage strategy aligns with company's key pillars and initiatives.

  • Serve as backup on mobile marketing program, as needed.

  • Identify opportunities for signage process improvement, resulting in time and cost efficiencies.

  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve both internal and external relationship untimely benefiting the customer experience and driving sales.

  • Assist in the creation of regular TEAM communications about In-store Communication initiatives.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing

Experience Requirement

  • 3 - 5 Years

  • Experience in Project Management

Technological Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
