This position is for a fully-dedicated Planner at our Oakland manufacturing plant, responsible for developing a day to day production schedule and accurate documentation to support the process.
Schedule day to day production batches based off of the Plan of Record supplied by our Supply Chain team.
Create Work Orders per the production schedule and provide to Operators.
Coordinate and track daily production attainments and adjust plans to mitigate shortages and scrap.
Reconcile and close work orders on a daily basis with Production Supervisors and leads.
Work with Buyer Planner to resolve and/or explain work order variances.
Work with business stakeholders to schedule plant trials.
Manage intermediate inventory/safety stock levels and external requests for intermediate samples.
Assist in weekly and month-end closing process.
Run reports as needed.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Write and update SOPs.
Train all new operators on production tracking and scheduling software SOP.
Represent the production Team in cross functional work groups as the SME for production tracking and scheduling software

2+ years in planning experience.

Working experience with MRP/ERP Systems (Sage preferred).
