SUMMARY

Dover Food Retail will provide training to install refrigeration components by brazing and assist with layout of refrigeration units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install copper and steel tubing and circuits

Use Torch to apply solder, (braze copper to copper pipes)

Ability to develop brazing skills to include proper techniques for brazing copper components, as well as liquid piping, suction piping and discharge piping

Ability to operate copper saw and tube bender

Flare Making

Ability to install oil systems, refrigeration valves, tubing and fastening in place

Pressurizes and leak checks units

Ability to use the following tools: tube cutters, hand vise, power benders, files, flaring/swedging tools, and torch

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
