The Pipeliner is responsible for supporting day to day construction, maintenance, and operations activities on the pipelines and facilities located in their district. The Pipeliner will work with technical personnel and the Pipeline Maintenance Supervisor to ensure their work is planned and carried out to keep the system operating in a safe, cost-efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist mowing crew to clean and maintain right-of-ways

  • Become familiar with pipelines, block valves locations, stations, and other assets

  • Assist with pipeline repairs, construction activities, and various maintenance items

  • Assist with leak clean-up and remediation when necessary

  • Support pipeline cleaning and pigging activities

  • Become familiar with other pipeline roles to provide occasional back-up

  • Complete training as required including DOT Operator Qualification and OSHA safety

  • Works effectively without supervision

  • Communicates well with employees from all areas of the facility

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, adequate computer literacy, adequate level of manual dexterity, knowledge of safe working practices around rotating equipment, knowledge of safe use of hand tools.

  • Abilities to understand and follow direction of supervision.

Role Summary The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician inspects, tests, repairs, and maintains the electrical and instrumentation systems in a safe manner within the Delek Logistics Pipeline system. This role must be able to maintain and repair equipment according to service manuals, company procedures or process and instrumentation diagrams. This job will be stationed out of the Delek Logistics Office in Big Spring, Texas. Job Accountabilities * Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Personally adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and policies, to include but not limited to hot work, confined space, and lockout/tag-out * Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate and maintain electrical equipment and systems of varying voltages including but not limited to 110V through 13,800V * Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate and maintain electrical equipment including but not limited to: motors (all types), starters, breakers, transformers, isolation switches, relays, fuses, resistors, process valves, AC Drives, DC Drives, electrical cable, fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, conduit, receptacles, PLC's, heaters, control panels, lights & lighting panels, cranes or other lifting devices, distributive controls, UPS, fire & emergency alarms, turbine controls, disposal of bulbs and other hazardous material, cable trays, and electrostatic precipitators * Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment including but not limited to: transmitters (all types), valves, I/P, positioners, actuators, dampers, flow meters, tubing, O2, PH, conductivity, RTD, thermocouple, and infrared * Lead repairs and calibration of electrical equipment and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of electro-mechanical equipment * Install, implement and maintain new control systems as needed * Troubleshoot, repair, and/or calibrate all electrical and instrumentation systems * Responsible for completing work orders and all other assignments as assigned * Works effectively without supervision * Communicates well with employees from all areas of the facility * Utilize computer to document work performed in CMMS System * As required troubleshoot gas engine and pipeline pump issues * Emergency Response issues related to any of Delek Logistics pipeline systems * Other duties as assigned Required Characteristics * High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience Delek US Holdings Big Spring TX
