Maintains and operates equipment to meet operational needs in compliance with company and regulatory requirement
Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective actions
Reads and interprets drawings and schematics, uses technical resources in the performance of assigned work, uses hand, and power tool, and other specialty equipment.
Performs pipeline locates/ construction watches, may operate portable and mobile work equipment, and participate in customer and emergency agency meetings.
Maintains records for required state, federal, and company procedures and participates in team administrative duties.
Utilizes computers and e-mail for internal and external communications, record keeping, online reporting, material, and supply ordering, and filing of various forms.
Actively contributes as a member of the project crew, providing and supporting the training of other members.
Software knowledge Microsoft Office
Natural gas gathering is an "around the clock" operation.
Employees may be required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location.
Pipeline work is subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse working conditions, extreme temperatures, heights, high pressure gas lines, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions.
High school graduate
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Candidate will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to a background check.
Stable work history with 5 years of experience as Pipeline Tech (or similar role).
Work with Technical Integrity group to assist with ILI and ILI dig Inspections.
Exceptional knowledge in all area requirements.
Read rectifiers, take pipe to soil readings, and prepare documentation for audits.
Repair test leads, and minor repairs on rectifiers.
Evaluate coating conditions and make minor repairs.
Interpret pipeline construction drawings and alignment sheets.
Ensure projects and schedules are met by continuously working with Operations,
Engineering, Construction. Facility Planning and Gas Control.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and work in extreme weather conditions.
Must provide a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
Required to carry a cell phone and be subject to 24\7 callouts.
Required to work on an on-call rotation with other team members.
Incumbent is subject to working extended work hours required in emergencies, on projects, or outages.
Subject to hazardous conditions including gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting and cramped conditions.
Dynamic, fast paced, demanding environment.
Sitting for extended periods.
Driving extended periods and distances further than 20 miles.
Position may be subject applicable U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol regulations.
The incumbent may be required to learn duties associated with one or more specific areas of pipeline operation depending on the operational need and employee's demonstrated abilities.
This position may require some travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.
This job may also involve participating on occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and or work weeks.
