OSI is headquartered in Medina, Minnesota, USA and is seeking to hire a Product Manager for its Oil & Gas Business Unit.

In this position- located in our Houston, Texas office- you will develop state-of-the-art software products for pipeline and Midstream markets. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Take functional user requirements and create detailed software requirements
  • Communicate both functional and software requirements to software development team
  • Work directly with customers to understand their requirements
  • Create use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria for features and functionality requirements
  • Decide whether customer requirements are customer specific or market requirements
  • Assist in generating product documentation and product collateral as needed
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and market trends for the product line

Requirements

Minimum

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Software Development or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical Oil & Gas software development
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight schedule
  • Strong time / project management and organization skills
  • Ability to remain flexible and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in implementation of automation and SCADA
  • Very good presentation skills
  • Experience in agile software development practices is preferable
  • Experience in product management practices is preferable

Preferred

  • 10+ years of technical experience in Oil and Gas software IT or OT development
  • Experience in sales demos in upstream and midstream
