Qualifications and Details about the Position

Laborer apprentices shall satisfactorily perform all work and learning assignments both on the job and in related

instruction and shall comply with the rules, regulations, and decisions of the apprenticeship committee.

Must be enrolled in the union apprenticeship program in the Construction/Maintenance Industry.

Laborer Journeymen must maintain active union membership status.

Requirements

Skilled laborer

Field experience preferred

Willing to perform general clean-up

Dig footings with hand tools

Back filing load and unload materials

Perform physical tasks requiring minimum skill

Work under close supervision

Sitting/standing/kneeling for extended periods of time

Climbing ladders/stairs

Work at heights

Lifting < 50 LDB

May work in confined spaces, extreme weather conditions

Use of respirator when required

General Laborers supporting Civil Construction may perform digging, chipping, concrete, excavation, drilling
