The Pipefitter/Welder Journeyperson position performs all kinds of welding, brazing, threading and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. This role also maintains, installs and dismantles all types of pipelines, fittings, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers as required for new construction and maintenance.
Essential Functions:
Provide safe, timely, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance of welding, pipefitting and related component installation and maintenance.
Maintain functional and technical expertise at a high skill level within the Pipefitter/Welder trade.
Perform mechanical duties such as dismantling, moving, cleaning, repairing and installing facility equipment.
Execution of maintenance with optimal efficiency, quality and safety. Following all applicable procedure, standards, specification, and guidelines.
Complete time entry, technical findings, documentation of repairs and elevate abnormal conditions.

High degree of attention required to prevent equipment upsets, where such an upset could cause a building/process

Required Education/Certification:
For Journeyperson and above: Documented completion of recognized, formal apprenticeship program of 48 months, or have a journeyman's card and have met HSC P&M hiring requirements. Certification Requirements: Must be certified in various SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW- to include as a minimum, but not limited to:
1A50: CARBON STEEL, SMAW
3A50: CARBON STEEL, GTAW
3A51: 1/2" CARBON STEEL, GTAW
3G50: STAINLESS STEEL, GTAW
3G51: 1/2" STAINLESS STEEL, GTAW
3PR50: NICKLE TO INCONEL, GTAW
Man Lift License
