Responsibilities:

• Weld pipe based off customer needs and specifications
• Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and benders
• Copper Brazing and soldering
• Threading and assembling black pipe
• Prepare, fabricate, install and fit pipe to specifications
• Install valves, hangers, supports and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications
• Repair leaks in all types of pipe systems
• Assemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes
• Setup, adjust, and operate welding equipment

Requirements:

• Industrial pipe welding experience TIG or Stick
• Working knowledge of all types of piping systems
• Must pass restricted access 6G pipe welding test for employment
• Able to position weld in field and in shop atmosphere
• Able to work both inside and outside year-round, in varying elements/weather conditions
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret pipe drawings
• Possess the ability to work skillfully with both hands constantly
• Must have the ability to independently lift and carry objects safely that weigh up to 20 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, and 80 pounds occasionally
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
• Knowledge of pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water and drainage systems
• Must have the ability to read and interpret a written scope of work
• Perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools
• Must be able to identify basic trade materials by size, shape and function and safely use small power tools and hand tools.
• Valid Driver's License
