PIPE WELDER

POSITION SUMMARY

Pay - $22 to $28

Paid Weekly

Schedule- 6:00am-4:30pm Monday thru Thursday with OT as necessary

Locations- High Point, Browns Summit, Raleigh, Travel

Must be able to pass drug screen and background

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Capabilities of welding in different environments where mechanical piping installation is performed.

• Must be capable of welding various positions requiring safety oriented procedures

• Must be knowledgeable of welding equipment and possess welding attire

• Capable of performing 100% weld quality in all positions

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products

• Install and repair various equipment and components

• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications

• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications

• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields

• Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

• Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics

• Ability to pass certifications tests on: Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G fixed position; welds performed must meet ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements

• Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G, fixed position. Welds performed must meet ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements

• The process most frequently used in the field applications is Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).

• Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.

• All welders under the trade of piping are required to pass certifications tests on; Carbon Steel Schedule 40

EDUCATION

Minimum of a high school education or equivalent

This Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of Pipe Welding experience
