Position: Pipe Welder
Location: Tacoma, Washington 98409
Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:30PM to 12:00AM
An exciting opportunity exists for a Pipe Welder to join our Tacoma Foundry on 2nd Shift. The Pipe Welder will be responsible for welding and fitting parts per drawings, specifications and work instructions. This will include:
Reading blueprints and customer specifications and/or drawings preferred
Layout and construct parts according to drawings
Fit and weld steel and stainless steel with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and SAW
Weld out of position
Qualifications:
Demonstrated years of experience in welding with steel and stainless steel utilizing GMAW, SMAW, GTAW and SAW practices required
Previous experience with Air Carbon Arc gouging process (preferred)
Ability to read blueprints, interpret work instructions and customer specifications (preferred)
Must be able to layout parts and components for sufficient fit-up to drawings and work instructions
Certifications preferred: ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1/ D1.4 for steel, AWS D1.6 for Stainless Steel, Dual Shield Certified (FCAW), Mig (GMAW) & Tig (GTAW)
Ability to work with limited direct supervision
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range: $21.97-$33.46/hour
