Supports PIP adjusters with administrative support relating to the set up and ongoing handling of personal injury claims.
Provides customer service and handles incoming/overflow phone calls; provides customers updates with claims.
Establishes initial claims files and assign suits/arbitrations to adjusters.
Performs administrative tasks (sends out and request for medical and lost/wage verification documents, settlement letters, defense package preparations and checks, copies files, handles mails, and performs data entry).
Orders credit histories and inputs ISO data.
Locates and ensures proper maintenance of closed files.
Processes payments and tracks bills awaiting payment from oldest to newest and reports results weekly.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and with claims software programs preferred.
Experience / Education:
High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred
One or more years claims handling experience preferred.
