WesTech Engineering has an immediate need for a part-time Pilot Plant Maintenance Technician. This position will perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Essential Job Functions
Performs testing of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of pilot systems equipment including motors, pumps, valves, pneumatics, and piping components.
Perform maintenance work on pilot units and other ancillary equipment.
Assist with pilot unit and ancillary equipment testing and preparation prior to shipment.
Perform and document return inspections when pilot equipment returned to the office.
Assist with facility maintenance and warehouse work as needed.
Other duties as assigned or requested.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience with hands-on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and piping repairs and replacement.
Plumbing and electrical trouble shooting and repair.
Proven track record with safety.
Ability to read and understand engineering detail drawings.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Experience with servicing of equipment similar in nature to WesTech equipment
Steel fabrication, welding and inspection experience.
Basic PLC trouble shooting skills.
Ability to resolve basic electric/motor/VFD trouble shooting
The knowledge and physical skill to use a wide variety of power tools used in metal fabrication (especially welding and cutting), hand-held tools, and diagnostic and measuring devices to inspect, build and repair equipment.
Some lifting may be involved, (75 lbs), specifically when in the warehouse area(s).
When in fabrication shop, may involve utilizing hands in and around mechanical parts.
