In addition to formal training, on-the-job training occurs as we assign our consultants to projects and devote our Research personnel to research initiatives. Our goal is to continuously broaden and deepen each individual?s knowledge and experience.



  • Pilot Intern supports Flight Operations Departments as assigned

  • Conducting Navigational Data Integrity Checks

  • Tracking Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Preconditioned Air (PCA) Unit fuel consumption

  • Organizing and managing airport data for the Runway Awareness Advisory System (RAAS)

  • Working with ETOPS flight plans and O-53 assignments

  • Contacting individuals through email/phone calls

  • Collecting ETOPS data and creating excel spreadsheets and produce reports

  • Review fuel consumption and factors related to fuel burn rate

  • Assist with Class II Navigational Compliance for plotting charts and flight plans

  • Assisting in coordinating RNP validation and demonstration flights

  • Documenting changes to navigational charts

  • Organizing and analyzing arrival and departure data for use in Required Navigational Performance (RNP) procedure design

  • Updating navigational chart binders and company manuals

  • Verifying 10-7 airport information

  • Assist with engineering projects related to weight/balance or performance analysis

  • Assist with filing, updating manuals, or other documents/materials

  • Assist with pilot training development

  • Observe pilot/flight deck operations through jumpseat/simulator

  • Attend various meetings and assist with pilot training classes/materials

  • Research and provide information to aid in making accurate decisions and/or providing information to others

  • Other duties as assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Pilot background (pursuing degree in aviation field with pilot component) required

  • Self-motivated, dependable and enthusiastic preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills preferred

  • Strong organizational skills preferred

  • Leadership skills preferred

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills preferred

  • Attentive to detail preferred

  • Able to learn on the fly preferred

  • Able to work independently or collaboratively preferred

  • Able to maintain effective working relationships with internal/external customers preferred

  • Pilot background preferred (pursuing degree in aviation field) preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software preferred

  • Familiar with pilot charts (Jeppesen charts) preferred

GENERAL PURPOSE: Supports the Executive Team of Functional Pathways with flight assistance between customer events and other business ventures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely fly an airplane, using skills to determine go/no of each flight.Use computer skills to check weather and flight plans, and weight and balance.Perform pre-flight check and ensure all aircraft logs reviewed.When ready, the pilot will oversee the startup and programming of avionics and then taxi to the runaway.While flying, in addition to monitoring aircraft systems, the pilot must communicate with the FAA.All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: 4 year degree in aviation preferred, or relevant field with flight experience.FAA Single Engine Land Commercial and Instrument Ratings,the additional multiengine and instructor ratings preferred. Experience: Prior Cirrus SR-22 experience preferred. Computer knowledge of spreadsheets and email is required. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common reports.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to effectively present information.Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
