In addition to formal training, on-the-job training occurs as we assign our consultants to projects and devote our Research personnel to research initiatives. Our goal is to continuously broaden and deepen each individual?s knowledge and experience.

POSITION INFORMATION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pilot Intern supports Flight Operations Departments as assigned

  • Conducting Navigational Data Integrity Checks

  • Tracking Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Preconditioned Air (PCA) Unit fuel consumption

  • Organizing and managing airport data for the Runway Awareness Advisory System (RAAS)

  • Working with ETOPS flight plans and O-53 assignments

  • Contacting individuals through email/phone calls

  • Collecting ETOPS data and creating excel spreadsheets and produce reports

  • Review fuel consumption and factors related to fuel burn rate

  • Assist with Class II Navigational Compliance for plotting charts and flight plans

  • Assisting in coordinating RNP validation and demonstration flights

  • Documenting changes to navigational charts

  • Organizing and analyzing arrival and departure data for use in Required Navigational Performance (RNP) procedure design

  • Updating navigational chart binders and company manuals

  • Verifying 10-7 airport information

  • Assist with engineering projects related to weight/balance or performance analysis

  • Assist with filing, updating manuals, or other documents/materials

  • Assist with pilot training development

  • Observe pilot/flight deck operations through jumpseat/simulator

  • Attend various meetings and assist with pilot training classes/materials

  • Research and provide information to aid in making accurate decisions and/or providing information to others

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Pilot background (pursuing degree in aviation field with pilot component) required

  • Self-motivated, dependable and enthusiastic preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills preferred

  • Strong organizational skills preferred

  • Leadership skills preferred

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills preferred

  • Attentive to detail preferred

  • Able to learn on the fly preferred

  • Able to work independently or collaboratively preferred

  • Able to maintain effective working relationships with internal/external customers preferred

  • Pilot background preferred (pursuing degree in aviation field) preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software preferred

  • Familiar with pilot charts (Jeppesen charts) preferred

VIEW JOBS 9/17/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-16T00:00 Job Summary: The Delivery Pilot- Piston sets the industry standard for aircraft delivery and represents the Cirrus Service Essentials at all times. He or she is responsible for sustaining an efficient, accommodating, and informative protocol for the transfer of aircraft ownership from the manufacturer to the client. Keeping clients' needs paramount, he or she supports critical phases of the delivery process, to include aircraft completion, ferry from the manufacturing facility to the Vision Center, final inspection and preparation, aircraft presentation and acceptance flight, and transition to the ownership phase. Superior client hospitality skills, technical knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills are crucial. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Maintains a culture of hospitality to enhance the Cirrus brand and aircraft ownership experience. * Maintains formal policies and procedures for all aspects of Vision Center operations pertaining to client interface, aircraft utilization, preparation, maintenance, and supporting equipment. * Supports the final phases of aircraft completion, ferry logistics, delivery staging and timing, and coordination with clients. * Ensures that aircraft meet or exceed cosmetic and mechanical standards, are completed on-time, with the correct supporting equipment, using the highest level of attention to detail. * Administers the presentation of aircraft to customers in a safe, welcoming, informative, and comfortable environment. Educates the customer on the features of their aircraft, to include ground presentations and demonstration flights. * Oversees and coordinates the presentation of pre-owned aircraft and any aircraft at the Vision Center for service or aftermarket upgrades. * Works with related departments to continually improve the aircraft finishing and aircraft presentation process. * Seeks to continually modernize and streamline the interface between the client and key aircraft acquisition roles at Cirrus. * Maintains an adequate inventory of supporting equipment for each aircraft. Works with Shipping, Parts, and Purchasing to ensure equipment is in stock and available for every delivery. * Performs, on an as-needed basis, corporate flight missions, including demonstration flights, sales event support, maintenance flights, customer acceptance flights, and corporate missions. * Maintains expert knowledge level of all aircraft features and functionality * Manages condition of delivery showrooms and aircraft hangars. * Maintains airfield driving privileges to recover aircraft if needed * Evaluates weather conditions and other factors to determine a safe go/no go decision while complying with Cirrus safety and operation manuals. * Works efficiently and effectively as an individual in team settings, consisting of Cirrus employees or outside vendors * Maintains flight proficiency and currency * Assists in cleaning aircraft, hangars and flight operations office.Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. * Education and/or Experience: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent written and verbal communication required. A good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.
