POSITION INFORMATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pilot Intern supports Flight Operations Departments as assigned
Conducting Navigational Data Integrity Checks
Tracking Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Preconditioned Air (PCA) Unit fuel consumption
Organizing and managing airport data for the Runway Awareness Advisory System (RAAS)
Working with ETOPS flight plans and O-53 assignments
Contacting individuals through email/phone calls
Collecting ETOPS data and creating excel spreadsheets and produce reports
Review fuel consumption and factors related to fuel burn rate
Assist with Class II Navigational Compliance for plotting charts and flight plans
Assisting in coordinating RNP validation and demonstration flights
Documenting changes to navigational charts
Organizing and analyzing arrival and departure data for use in Required Navigational Performance (RNP) procedure design
Updating navigational chart binders and company manuals
Verifying 10-7 airport information
Assist with engineering projects related to weight/balance or performance analysis
Assist with filing, updating manuals, or other documents/materials
Assist with pilot training development
Observe pilot/flight deck operations through jumpseat/simulator
Attend various meetings and assist with pilot training classes/materials
Research and provide information to aid in making accurate decisions and/or providing information to others
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Pilot background (pursuing degree in aviation field with pilot component) required
Self-motivated, dependable and enthusiastic preferred
