Pilates Instructor (Queen Anne Community Center)
If you have a knowledge and understanding of Pilates fundamentals and passion for and experience teaching, Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as a Pilates Instructor at Queen Anne Community Center. This is a year-round part-time role starting April 1, 2025. There are multiple opportunities to extend.
ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, the Pilates Instructor at Queen Anne Community Center will lead participants through Pilates lessons and instruct them on proper form, breathing techniques, and body alignment.
Schedule:
Mondays from 5-6pm
Start Date: April 1, 2025
Student Age Group: 18+
Pilates Instructor duties and responsibilities include:
Instruct participants on proper form, breathing techniques, and body alignment.
Monitor participants progress and provide feedback and adjustments as needed
Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate Pilates lessons.
Plan, lead, and implement course appropriate activities for each lesson, focusing on technique development.
Maintain a clean and safe Pilates studio environment. Stay up to date on current Pilates practices, techniques, and industry trends.
Pilates Instructor requirements include:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience in working with teens, and adults.
Experience and knowledge of Pilates.
Must pass a WSP criminal background check.
Pay:
Starting Pay: $34.50 - 36.50/hr.
Full Pay Range: $34.50-44.50/hr (employee may earn up to $44.50/hr with continued employment)
