This year marks our 20-year anniversary and we are excited to build our Pilates Team. We are looking to bring on part-time pilates instructor with the potential of going full-time. We are looking for a passionate, client service focused, positive, hardworking individual who shares the same love for health and wellness as we do here at Performance Optimal Health. Here, you will focus on the client experience and help empower our clients to live better lives by working alongside our other healthcare professionals. Our Pilates Instructor's place an emphasis on quality and attentive first-class client care. They assess an individual and/or semi-private group of clients and adapt sessions to the client's needs on any particular day.

Instructors will work with a broad spectrum of clients including those who are simply looking to improve their fitness and those who are actively being treated by a physical or occupational therapist. Due to this, instructor is required to have some level of knowledge of therapeutic Pilates and/or a strong knowledge of/interest in anatomy and therapy. Pilates Reformer Instructor's will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and are expected to communicate with other team members to provide the best experience for their clients.

  • Provide constant guidance during Pilates sessions, correcting technique, providing confident instruction for clients to learn and safely follow.

Requirements

  • Must be certified by an accredited organization, to teach Pilates fitness sessions and possess.
  • Minimum of two years Pilate's instructing is preferred.

Connecticut Children's Heart Institute offers full range of pediatric cardiology services. These include but are not limited to complex congenital heart surgeries, catheter interventions and electrophysiology interventions. We have a robust fetal cardiology program with four fetal cardiologist and the section of non-invasive imaging with state of the art 3T Cardiac MRI capabilities. Adult congenital heart disease program a Connecticut Children's is accredited by Adult Congenital Heart Association.</p><p>Division of Cardiology at the Connecticut Children's Heart Institute affiliated with the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine seeks a full time Pediatric Cardiologist with additional training in Non-Invasive Imaging/Fetal cardiology to support our Fairfield County outreach. The position will be a non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator track at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Proposed rank will be determined by qualifications.</p><p>Responsibilities will include a mix of non-invasive cardiac imaging (TTE, TEE, Fetal, preferred but not required training in cardiac CT/MRI) and general cardiology outpatient clinical effort and teaching medical students, residents and fellows.</p><p>Qualified candidates will have an M.D. or D.O. and be eligible for a Connecticut medical license. Qualifications include Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology and advanced training in non-invasive imaging.</p><p>The anticipated start date is July 1, 2022 and the position will remain open until filled.</p><p>Connecticut Children's is ranked among the nation's top children's hospitals by the US News &amp; World Report. The heart institute, comprising of cardiology and cardiac surgery has dramatically expanded over the last 5 years. We have 12 full time and one part time cardiologist, two congenital heart surgeons 3 advanced practitioners and 5 nurses, one of whom is dedicated to our fetal cardiology program. Our non-invasive cardiology section has 8 echocardiography technicians, 7 dedicated echo readers, two cardiac MRI trained cardiologists and 4 fetal cardiologists. Our echocardiography laboratory is ICAEL certified.</p><p>Our outreach services in CT include Danbury, Shelton, Norwich and newly created Westport location. We also offer outreach satellite services in South Hadley, MA. This posted position is to predominantly service our Fairfield county services with some dedicated time at the Connecticut Children's main campus.</p><p>Connecticut Children's requires all staff and faculty to be vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to limited exceptions.</p><p>ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li><p>Perform inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology evaluations and testing, including interpretation of ECGs, echocardiograms, ambulatory electrocardiography, and exercise stress testing in the pediatric age group.</p></li><li><p>Maintain timely and complete chart notes, reports, and communication with primary care/referring physicians and other relevant subspecialty physicians.</p></li><li><p>Maintain open and timely communication with patients, families, and guardians.</p></li><li><p>Participate in multidisciplinary clinical management initiatives with other divisions,</p></li><li><p>Facilitate patient referrals.</p></li><li><p>Participate in division and department quality improvement initiatives, including within the department</p></li><li><p>Assists in the planning and direction of health programs within the appropriate specialty.</p></li><li><p>Conducts training or assists in the training of interns and resident physicians.</p></li><li><p>Maintains varied hours on a rotated schedule with other physicians to ensure that there is always a physician on-call during non-business hours.</p></li><li><p>Faculty appointment is offered at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine</p></li><li><p>Comply with all billing, coding, documentation, and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Participate in Department of Pediatrics grand rounds, morbidity and mortality conferences, and faculty development education.</p></li><li><p>Maintain appropriate licensures and certifications.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 4-7 years as practicing pediatric cardiologist, preferably in an academic setting.</p></li><li><p>MD or DO Required.
