Nourish Pierce County (formerly FISH Food Banks) provides nutritious food and support services to people in need with compassion, dignity are respect. In 2017 we served 500,000 client visits at our 7 Food Banks and 10 Mobile Food Bank Sites.

We are recruiting a Food Bank Volunteer Coordinator at Southeast Tacoma Food Bank. This position will serve side by side with volunteers and onboarding new volunteers.

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting volunteers from a variety of communities throughout Pierce County, conducting volunteer orientations, placing volunteers in positions based on their skills and interests, and training volunteers.

This position will also focus on recruiting veterans to volunteer at the food bank. Volunteers run all aspects of the food bank from helping clients choose the food that best suits their needs, to stocking the food bank with nutritious food, and picking up food donations. This position is contingent on funding and will be 6 months, starting November 16, 2018, December 1, January 16, February 1 or February 16th. End dates vary.
