The Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology and the Thurston Arthritis Research Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for an Open Rank (tenure/tenured track) physician-scientist faculty position. Candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD. degree and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.

Applicants with a research focus in autoimmunity and/or inflammation relevant to rheumatic diseases are preferable. Successful applicants will possess an exceptional record of basic or translational research demonstrated by publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. Applicants at the Assistant Professor level will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program.

Those at the Associate Professor and above rank should have extramural funding and a national reputation in their field. The successful candidate will have his/her primary appointment in the Department of Medicine. He/she will be expected to teach and/or perform clinical service within this department in a manner that is consistent with standard practices for a tenured or tenure-track faculty within the department.

Applicants should be seeking a stimulating, interdisciplinary and collaborative environment in which to pursue research, teaching and clinical care. Successful applicants will possess an exceptional record of basic or translational research demonstrated by publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.Candidates must have an M.D. and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatolgy; a secondary Ph.D. is welcome.

The UNC Physicians Professional Billing & Follow-up Team is recruiting for a Health Care System (HCS) level Manager of Revenue Cycle to oversee the continued enhancement of our operational analytics and projects initiatives. This Manager will report to the HCS Director of Revenue Cycle for PB Billing & Follow-up and will be directly managing a diverse team of analysts and billing experts. This position will be working closely with the Billing Team, PB Revenue Cycle Leadership, IT and Reporting to ensure that problems are quickly identified, consistent solutions are implemented and a strong feedback loop is created and maintained both internally on the team for all levels and externally for our customers. Responsibilities will include project managing operational and denial analyses, personnel and performance management, and active collaboration with our peers within the UNC Physicians group and with our peers in PreServices, Care Access, HB and HIM. Successful candidates will have expert level proficiency in Professional Billing, solid proficiency with Epic's PB Resolute Billing module, a proven track record for creative problem solving and most importantly a belief in and commitment to continuously advocating for our guiding values of fostering Ownership, Accountability & Active Involvement at all levels. Successful candidates will be detail oriented, internally driven and an advocate for continuous improvement. Experience Five (5) years of progressive experience in related field.
