Responsibilities

Ascension Wisconsin is currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic Neurologist to join our Teleneurology Department

OPPORTUNITY: Vascular Neurologist/Neurohospitalist - Teleneurologist

Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:

• 100% remote teleneurology coverage of Ascension hospitals

• Video consultation coverage of acute stroke and routine neurological consultations, both in the emergency department and inpatient settings

• Twelve-hour teleneurology shifts that include nights and weekends, with future plans for expanded flexibility

• Collaboration with the primary team - communication of care plan to nurse, ancillary staff, as well as patient and their family - as if present at the bedside

• Commitment to providing high-quality stroke and neurological care via remote presence

Requirements:

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Vascular Neurology is preferred

• Ability to acquire Wisconsin medical license and DEA

• Teleneurology and stroke center experience

• Professional home office workspace with reliable internet service

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
