LPN

This Is What You'll Do:

  • Perform medical evaluation of potential donors for automated plasmapheresis procedures

  • Determine donor suitability of new applicants in consultation with a donor center physician

  • Provide limited emergency care, including the administration of medications or treatments

  • Conduct evaluations to ensure compliance with criteria for normal plasma donors

  • Review medical histories and perform suitability examinations

  • Maintain communication logs regarding donor suitability

  • Review normal and abnormal test results to determine continued donor suitability

  • Counsel donors with abnormal test results and defer them accordingly

  • Complete cross-training as required

This Is What It Takes:

  • Graduation from a recognized healthcare educational program

  • Current licensure as an LPN specific to the location of employment

  • Current certification in CPR

  • Ability to educate donors, staff, and community regarding our plasma donation program

  • A high degree of organization, team orientation, flexibility, and comfort working with a diverse group of people within a very busy medical environment

  • Willingness and ability to maintain the confidentiality of all personnel and center information

  • Willingness and ability to work on weekends

  • Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

  • Blood bank or plasma center experience highly preferred

  • One or more years of hospital, field care, or plasma center experience preferred

Start doing your life's best work.(sm) The LPN Supervisor will be primarily be responsible for monitoring staff, assessing competencies, ensuring adequate training, guiding workflows & providing staff feedback. He / she will also be required to ensure staff consistently performs pre-visit chart reviews to ensure HEDIS requirements are met at every visit opportunity, administering required vaccines, managing ancillary visits & performing point of service testing Primary Responsibilities: * Provides wound care, injections to patients in the podiatry / wound care clinic * Provides Clinical Supervision to Staff * Ensure that Providers have daily 1:1 staff coverage and manage schedules * Administers clinic policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner * Recruit, hire, trains and supervises assigned employees * Ensures that office space, supplies, medications, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately * Responsible to ensure accurate charges are entered in IDX * Identifies and resolves work problems to ensure quality patient service * Actively participates in financial reports, budget and prepares variance reports * Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested * Prepares reports and manages assigned projects, oversees all business related functions including cash handling and daily batch audits and payroll functions * Responsible for implementation of safety functions in clinics and daily facility management to include alarm response (if applicable) and facility maintenance. Attend safety meetings and provide input for change to meet safety regulations. Ensure completion of safety training for new employees and completion of quarterly fire drills * Collaborates with Physician Leads in the performance evaluation process You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain permanent NV LPN license upon expiration of temporary NV LPN license * 3+ years of clinical experience as an LPN * 1+ years of supervisory experience * CPR / BLS (or willing to obtain upon hire) * Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook * Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive VoiceResponse (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.
