As a Physician, you will work as a provider to a number of high-complexity patients. You will invest your time in personal patient home-visits that typically last about 45 minutes to an hour.
This will provide you with more than enough time to make personal investments with your patients as you manage their medications, educate patients and their families on their disease(s), treatment plan, and future care plan.
You’ll also collaborate with your extended team of clinicians to make sure you are providing the most excellent care possible.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System is seeking a board certified Oncologist or board eligible, who will provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in the outpatient Oncology clinic; as well as provide feedback and consultation to the Oncology Nurse Practitioners. In this role, the incumbent will also provide feedback and patient education to the patients and their families, and will demonstrate excellence in all facets of patient care. The Oncologist will perform the following functions: Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and order appropriate diagnostic studies and treatments to patients referred from other sections of the hospital and/or affiliated VA outpatient clinics, and perform administrative functions and other tasks assigned. He/She will participate in indicated clinical Hematology and Oncology research trials.
