Job Summary

As a primary care physician with Purdue University Student Health (PUSH) you will be proving healthcare services for eligible Purdue students, and student spouses. You will be responsible for ambulatory care of patients and on-call responsibilities and have an opportunity to serve on Health Center Committees. You will also serve as a consultant to Health Center Certified Nurse Practitioners and ancillary staff.

  • Boarded and certified colleagues

  • Traditional hours of Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday hours

  • 19-21 patients per day

  • Electronic Health Records and ancillary services of allergy and immunization service

  • Physical Therapy and Dietician resources

  • Computerized X-ray (plain radiography) and lab services in house

  • Closed on University holidays; On-Call is only during daytime hours

  • Malpractice coverage

What we are looking for:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

  • One year of experience in primary care and completion of an accredited residency.

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in primary care: Internal Medicine, Adolescent Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice or Gynecology

VIEW JOBS 8/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-14T00:00 Job Summary As an Animal Care Technician, you will provide husbandry and care for a variety of laboratory animals including but not limited to rodents, swine, dogs, livestock, sheep and poultry in conventional, barrier and barn housing environments. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the physical and environmental conditions of animals both large and small in a research setting, including cleaning and maintaining animal environments, stocking supplies, and following approved protocols and standard operating procedures. You will also have the opportunity to feed, water, and provide other types of care to ensure animal welfare and evaluate the general conditions of animals. Required: * High school diploma / GED * One year animal caretaker experience * Skills in record keeping and mathematics * Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills * Strong communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions * Valid US or Canadian driver's license * Ability to speak, understand, read and write English * Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision * Must be able to work in a team-based environment * Ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally Preferred: * Coursework/degree in Animal Husbandry or related field * Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certified (Current staff with 5+years of experience grandfathered in) * Research animal experience * Knowledge of basic animal behavior, nutrition, husbandry, breeding, and disease prevention Additional Information: * This position requires the ability to perform occasional euthanasia of animals (rodents only) * The hours in this location are Monday thru Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM with rotating weekends required * Occasional overtime may be required; some weekend and holiday coverage will be necessary * Purdue will not sponsor employment authorization for this position. * A background check will be required for employment in this position * FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime) * Retirement Eligibility: Non-exempt Defined Contribution Plan * Purdue University is an EOE/AA employer.
