Job Summary:
With direction from Strategic Planning, Marketing & Communications and service line leaders, develops and executes strategic referral marketing initiatives to increase referrals/initial evals for all outpatient services, including physical therapy/rehabilitation, physician services, radiology, home health, etc. Serves as the primary liaison to physician/provider referrers (external) and physical therapy/rehabilitation managers (internal). Takes primary responsibility for community events and outreach and physician/clinical education.
Essential Functions:
Serves as a Physician/Referral Liaison
By calling on and scheduling appointments with physicians and other referral sources.
By researching referral patterns to Good Shepherd and strategizing and executing plans to develop new referral sources.
By coordinating with other physician liaisons on outreach to referral sources.
By working with physician relationship management (PRM) software to track visits and referral trends.
By running reports as needed/requested.
By planning and facilitating community and clinical education events.
Coordinates marketing outreach for all outpatient services
By promoting all outpatient services, including physical therapy/rehabilitation locations, physician services, radiology, home health, etc.
By understanding individual and division sales goals and striving to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual projections.
By meeting regularly with business line leadership to discuss referral/volume trends, assess needs and suggest marketing tactics to increase volume/revenue.
By using PRM software to review referral patterns and trends with service line leaders.By working with the Marketing & Communications creative team to develop and update collateral, giveaways, posters, banners, signage, etc.
By researching and implementing unique opportunities to promote services/sites in each community.
By helping coordinate marketing materials, events and opportunities.
Provides sales support for business development initiatives
By visiting target businesses/facilities within your territory to develop new business relationships
By scheduling introductory appointments with target business leaders and Good Shepherd business development representatives
By providing follow up communication, as needed
Provides administrative support
By handling phone calls, photocopying and other office support, as needed.
By coordinating the flow of materials between department and vendors.
By providing weekly reports regarding outreach activities and business intelligence
By tracking visits and accurately reporting scorecard numbers and referral trends
Travel required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Work Experience
2-4 years of professional experience, ideally in an outside healthcare sales role.
Understanding of healthcare organizations and referral patterns preferred.
Licenses / Certifications
Driver's License required
Skills and Abilities
Self-motivated; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Superb presentations/public speaking skills. Must be effective in reaching and speaking with physicians, hospital case managers, discharge planners, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills; team player.
Command of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Knowledge of Marketware software a bonus.
Ability to multi-task and set work priorities in order to meet deadlines.
Strong organizational, project management, problem solving and creative skills.
