Job Description

Specializing in the support of physicians and staff working in the outpatient physician office setting. The Liaison's primary responsibilities are providing direct support, identifying workflow issues, determining optimization opportunities, onboarding new providers, assisting physicians and other clinicians with personalizing their set-up of Epic, creating note templates, and assisting with technology issues. This position also will perform Tier II end-user support for new and upgraded Clinical Information System applications effecting clinical workflow throughout all El Camino hospital campuses, affiliated clinics, and Community Connect clinics.

Other duties include testing workflows, creating tip sheets and supporting documentation, assisting with training, and communicating stakeholder reported issues to the iCare application teams. The liaison will master both the Epic application and El Camino Health's specific workflow to understand decisions that will impact end-user.

This individual will work with the training liaisons to identify changes in workflows from change request, updates, and release changes. The physician liaison will assist in communicating these changes to all stakeholders. This individual is a critical member of the Epic Team.

Qualifications

Two years of college or equivalent education/training.

Bachelor's degree in education, organizational development, nursing, business or healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Two years of ambulatory clinic experience including responsibility for direct patient care or registration and scheduling of patients, or technical support for clinical staff, and building relationships with physicians.

Prior clinical systems EMR or Epic experience preferred.

Clinical or technical experience in area corresponding to assigned application preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.

Ability to work with minimum supervision and to interact well with all levels of employees and physicians.

Proven ability with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

Valid Healthcare certification or licensure preferred.

Valid California driver's license.

Salary Range:

$50.84 - $76.26 USD Hourly
