Pain Medicine Physicians

Job Duties: Examine patient to determine discomfort level and causes of pain and develop a treatment plan.

Order appropriate diagnostic tests. Prescribe and perform appropriate interventional procedures to diagnose and treat pain. Prescribe medications and physical therapy.

Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients' families concerning treatment and care of patients. Provide on-call coverage on an equal rotation basis with practice peers. Refer those cases that require specialist services while maintaining responsibility to assure that continuity of care is provided. Weekly travel to worksites in Luling and Raceland, Louisiana.

Geographic area of employment: Luling, LA, with weekly travel to worksites in Luling and Raceland, LA.

Education Required: MD or DO

Other Requirements:

  • License to practice medicine in Louisiana

  • Completion of a fellowship in regional anesthesiology or pain management.

  • Completion of a residency in anesthesiology.
