Position Summary:

Manages and provides acute, chronic, preventive, curative and rehabilitative medical care to patients and determines appropriate regimen in specialized areas such as family practice, internal medicine and geriatrics with experience in transitions of care, chronic disease, advanced goals of care discussion and palliative management.

We also are also expanding our programs and are interested in Specialty Physicians: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatric, OBGYN and Pediatrics

Position Requirements:

Education Required (Minimum level of education): Graduate from accredited school of Medicine

Certifications/Licenses Required: Current CA MD or DO and DEA license. CPR/BLS certification. Board certified or eligible in primary care specialty

Preferred: ACLS certification

Required (Minimum level of experience): Completion of clinical training

Preferred:

  • 1 year post completion of clinical training

  • Employment in community health center

  • Experience working with elderly population

  • Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Medical Spanish

Technical Knowledge and Skills Preferred to Perform the Job: Skin biopsy, excision of skin lesions, suturing, casting, sigmoidoscopy, and phlebotomy.

VIEW JOBS 12/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-11T00:00 Position Summary Assists the Dentist at chair-side in the concept of four-handed dentistry and prepares patients in a manner that will instill confidence in the staff and services of the Dental Division. Oversees RDA's and DA's, co-coordinates with the Patient Access Lead and Dental Clinic Supervisor and oversees sterilization procedures. Participates in community outreach, promotes a positive office image and maintains positive patient relations. Essential Functions 1.Actively complies with all aspects of patient intake such as taking and accurately recording blood pressure, pulse, tobacco status, medical alert review and documentation of medication list. Review and records clinical note in detail, treatment results, treatment planning, consents, referrals and any other pertinent documentation on patient records with accuracy while maintaining patient privacy. 2. Coordinates the preparation of reports and written documentation including patient records, as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies in a timely manner and ensures completeness prior to submission to provider. 3. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities while maintaining a positive attitude and exceptional customer service. Assists chair side and is able to consistently demonstrate skills and apply best practices in the concept of four-handed dentistry to include duties and procedures specific to the RDA scope such as fabrication, cementing and adjustment of temporary crowns, coronal polishing, placement and removal of temporary sedative fillings, impressions, applying non-aerosol and topical agents, removing post-extraction and periodontal dressing, assisting in the administration of nitrous oxide, holding anterior matrices and placing and removing rubber dams. 4. Works cooperatively with others, communicates respectively and effectively in order to maintain a smooth, constant flow of patients from reception to operatories; coordinates the activities of several operatories through proper utilization of time, resources, abilities and patient needs. Is accepting of change and able to make quick and effective decisions based off of new or changing schedule information in order to maximize time and productivity. 5 Reviews patient records for accuracy and completeness; listens carefully to the provider and explains treatment recommended by the dentist in a manner that is understandable, respectful, and supportive while using an appropriate tone to enhance understanding. 6. Monitors ordering and utilization of supplies and actively looks for way to optimize use and minimize cost. Plans in advance for routine maintenance of equipment and restocking of materials to ensure there is no unexpected shortage of supplies and the clinic is compliant with maintenance schedules. Prepares, sterilizes, organizes and sets up dental equipment. 7.Operates X-ray equipment to make complete and/or selective oral radiographic services. Develops film by digital, automatic or manual processing methods; mounts and labels X-ray. 8. Ensures the established infection control techniques are administered in accordance with department policy to maintain a safe and pleasant environment. 9. Complies with established OSHA policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Comply with all HIPAA regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations. Other Responsibilities 1.Maintains and submits orders to maintain an adequate inventory of forms, clerical supplies, copy paper and equipment. 2.Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. 3.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. 4.Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed. 5.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Position Qualifications Education Post High School Vocational/ Specialized Training. Certification Current RDA License Radiation Safety Certificate CPR certificate Coronal Polish Certificate Experience 2 years as dental assistant. Supervisory Experience Some supervisory experience preferred. Equipment Used PC, Fax, other office equipment, dental laboratory equipment, X-ray machine, Amalgamator, Assistina, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Autoclave and other sterilization equipment. Technical Knowledge Four handed dentistry, full scope dentistry procedures and oral radiographic services. Computer skills involving word processing email and dental management programs such as Dentrix are preferable. Skills Other Excellent communication skills. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish). Effort required Physical Activities Prolonged periods of standing, sitting and occasionally lifting objects of up to 25 pounds. Working Traits Ability to put patients at ease and give clear understandable directions of treatment recommended by dentist. Working Conditions May be required to work some evenings and/or Saturdays.
