Outpatient Nurse - Division of Orthopedic Surgery - Children's Surgical Associates Philadelphia, PA, US, 19104 Job Type: BUERGER - Buerger Center Ambulatory Care Req ID: 29356 Shift: Days Employment Status: AF - Active - Regular - Full Time Job Summary The Division of Orthopedic Surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the top pediatric orthopaedic groups in the country is seeking a full time Registered Nurse with an interest in providing exceptional nursing care to our ambulatory orthopaedic patients and their families. Location of work is primarly between Bucks County Speciality Care Center and CHOP Main Campus with the possibility of occasional travel to Princeton, NJ office if needed. Position hours are Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. Job Responsibilities * Coordination of patient care, managing and triaging patient care phone calls within RN scope of practice. * Performing nursing care to patients in a Specialty Care clinic setting. * Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients. * Completes specialty procedures and interprets results – as allowed by scope of license and role. * Provides teaching and education to patients/families, including assisting with identifying appropriate supplies and home care orders Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations Registered Nursing License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required; NJ if applicable. Required Education and Experience Required Education: Graduation from an ACEN and/or CCNE accredited school of nursing or college.
